We’re delighted to report that Prospect House has achieved success at The Great British Care Awards which has been reported in the Witchurch Herald.

Prospect House Home Care chef, Paul Wright, won Best Care Home Chef Award at the Great British Care Awards during the glittering North West region event which took place in the Manchester Clock Tower Hotel.
Paul was crowned a winner by judges for his nutritious food, attention to detail and providing a person-centred menu to residents in Prospect House, in High Street, Malpas.
Manager Sarah Stroud said he will be heading to the national competition meeting in March. Sarah added: “We are obviously extremely proud to have such amazing talent in our team.
“The purpose of the awards is to promote the best practices within care home settings and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
“I couldn’t be prouder of this recognition and achievement.
“I should mention that overall, we had five finalists, Nigel Owen for the Care Worker Award and myself for the Registered Manager Award, such an achievement.
“Paul will now go forward into the national competition finals which will be held in March next year.
“We can’t wait to support him.”
Administrator, Eve Jones and Joe Ward were praised by judges in the ‘Ancillary Worker Award’ and ‘Activities Worker Award’ respectively by judges.
The judges said: “Joe’s approach ensures that those in his care continue to have new experiences and make new memories.
“His clever use of new technology ensures everyone experiences a fulfilling and vibrant life.
“Eve clearly puts the needs of people she supports above herself. “She understands the importance of the smaller things and promotes and combines her work, her family and farm life to ensure an inclusive approach across the home.”
