Chef at Prospect House Care Home Paul Wright takes his passion for food to create a monthly fine dining experience fit for the Great British Menu finals.
Taking from his Michelin Star experience, Paul has created a monthly six-course gourmet menu, the first of which featured celeriac and truffle velouté with chive oil, smoked salmon, picked vegetables, lemon semi gel, warm salad of heritage tomato and mozzarella, tomato and vodka consommé, a main dish of beef fillet, braised beef shin, dauphinoise potato, carrot puree, baby spinach, port juices, and a dessert of chocolate and Tia Maria panna cotta with popping candy.

Prospect House Care Home monthly fine dining experience hits all the right gourmet spots.
Setting the scene, the dining room tables were dressed by Activities Coordinator Joe Ward to fine dining standards. Classical music played to set the scene, and the pièce de resistance, a night sky projected on to the dining room ceiling.
Joe Ward, Activities Manager at Prospect House Care Home says: “The experience resembled a restaurant visit. It was the opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy an evening out in the comfort of their own home. Our care teams were also able to taste the food on offer with everyone being amazed at how it tasted and how it looked. We can’t wait until the next time.”

Perfectly situated in the centre of the historical village of Malpas, Prospect House is a beautifully renovated and maintained Georgian house. With views over the Cheshire plains the home provides residential, nursing and expert care for residents with dementia, and both short-term respite care.
