Who can Prospect House care for?
Employing the best resources within the best facilities we are devoted to each and every individuals’ personal needs. Working in harmony with residents, relatives, friends, social workers, carers and external agencies such as the Care Quality Commission, who regulate our work, each person we care for receives the same attention and high-level of care.
Under our registration with the Care Quality Commission we can care for people over the age of 40. However the overwhelming majority of our residents are elderly with physical or mental frailty.
Two areas of the home called the “Garden Rooms” and the “Bowling Green Rooms” offer intimate settings, where we care for older people whose primary reason for admission is their dementia.
For residents who have physical healthcare needs, the entire spectrum of general nursing care for all residents is provided by our own qualified nursing staff.
We accommodate people who require only low levels of care or assistance and have no health or medical needs.
We run an action packed activity schedule everyday of the week which is open for all to attend on a ad-hoc or regular basis. From a Dementia Café, to ladies lunch or gents club, hairdressing and chiropodist visits, these are just some of the social events we run daily catering for all needs.
When staying at home becomes too strained sometimes a respite break can make all the difference. We offer respite or short term residential care to suit personal needs. The same high level of care applies and a warm welcome awaits. We aim for excellence in the openness of communication which is why every three months we write to relatives of every resident, inviting them to meet with our Matron Caroline Rowland, or one of her Deputies. The meetings allow staff and relatives to discuss and understand all aspects of the care provided and the care needs of each resident. This is a
